Job Title: Framework Manager

The Framework Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of projects under the framework, ensuring successful outcomes in line with performance, safety, budget, and programme requirements. This role involves working closely with clients to meet their expectations and ensuring that key direct reports, including Project Managers and Site Managers, are effective in their delivery of each project.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to provide a best-in-class service to clients.
  • Oversee pre-start, progress, and handover meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Chair lesson-learned meetings on project completion to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct site audits to ensure quality and health and safety standards are met, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage, supervise, and train team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Manage client relationships and day-to-day requirements, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, including compliance with legal regulations.
  • Manage the commercial administration of the construction team, using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness, and technical expertise to deal with valuations, disputes, and final accounts.
  • Encourage and inspire construction teams to produce high-quality work, utilizing their full flair, experience, resources, and talents in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure the delivery process recognizes current legislation, standards, and codes of practice, where applicable.
  • Assist the business in developing robust delivery procedures.
  • Support the construction teams in managing the planning and delivery of large construction activities.
  • Ensure the development and review of project plans take place to ensure a structured delivery.
  • Assist the business in winning new work.
  • Manage relationships with all key stakeholders, including clients, direct and indirect staff, subcontractors, etc.
Person Specification:
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field and experience in a similar role.
  • APM PMQ or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • A contract management qualification.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in large project management.
  • Experience in managing small teams.
  • Indirectly leading and influencing people/teams from other functions.
  • Working to tight deadlines.
Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills and the ability to apply them to solve problems.
  • Leadership and managerial skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and deal with unexpected change.
  • Adaptable.
  • Teamworking skills.
  • Technical expertise (for example in test, design, development, and operations).
  • Good IT and analytical skills.
  • Use of Omicron equipment in a live test environment.
