Northrop Grumman Space Systems is in search of a Senior Principal Systems Architect to support an Operations and Maintenance facility.

This position necessitates a two-year commitment and the ability to successfully complete a psychological evaluation. A comprehensive overseas compensation package is available, including relocation assistance.

The ideal candidate will deliver technical planning, cost-benefit analysis, and integration support for operational systems. This Systems Architect will also act as a liaison to Site and CONUS engineering teams. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing engineering support, including requirements definition/evaluation, planning, coordination, identifying and addressing impacts, generating documentation, and test support.
  • Researching, preparing, and presenting baseline change proposals to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Planning, designing, and supporting the execution of installation and integration activities to address operational equipment obsolescence and the delivery of new systems/capabilities.
  • Developing and coordinating technical and conceptual trade studies between Site and Factory Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Supporting system engineering functions for the program, including managing project schedules, program risks, opportunities, issues, and baseline changes.
  • Assessing program operations and engineering activities to ensure optimal availability, maintainability, and overall performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 9 years of relevant technical/engineering experience OR a Master of Science Degree in a STEM discipline plus 7 years of relevant technical/engineering experience OR a PhD Degree in a STEM discipline plus 4 years of relevant technical/engineering experience.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance & SCI Access
  • Ability to pass CI Polygraph examination prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AMP/ATP/Mission 1 is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive and be an effective leader and contributor in a dynamic operational environment, collaborating across multiple organizations and interfaces.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience on a project and/or team.
  • Familiarity with System Engineering principles and concepts.
  • Knowledge of Site Integration Standards.
  • Experience with trending and monitoring tools/scripts (e.g., Perl, Python, MATLAB, DCL, etc.).
  • Proficiency in LINUX, Perl, MATLAB, and AGILE software development tools.

Salary Range: $121,000 - $181,400. This salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may qualify for Long Term Incentives.
