Algorithm Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Algorithm Developer to join our team at Thales UK. As an Algorithm Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing algorithms to solve complex problems in various domains.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop algorithms for Big Data Analytics, optimisation, crypto, decision aid, and information analytics & fusion.
- Implement algorithms on targeted languages and machines, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Analyse critically and constructively systems/equipment needs to determine potential issues and build specification documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system capabilities and select and adapt algorithmic and/or IT solutions.
- Prototype solutions in a realistic/representative context and provide support to validation teams.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills and experience in algorithm design, programming, and scripting languages (e.g. Python).
- Ability to work in a team environment and manage own workload to meet objectives.
- Knowledge of algorithm design, mathematics, and physics, as well as experience in signal processing and information processing.
