About the Role:

Stats Perform is seeking an experienced Sports Video Content Creator to join our global team of journalists covering the biggest teams, players, and stories across the sporting world.

This is a hybrid position in London, UK, requiring working hours in the evenings and at weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Script, edit, and deliver high-quality video content to a broadcast standard.
  • Contribute to a sports news team that delivers broadcast-ready video for digital and social clients, as well as wire/raw footage for broadcast and online customers.
  • Utilize Opta's extensive sports data to enhance storytelling and create engaging video content.
  • Liaise with our Newsdesk, international, and support teams to ensure a smooth workflow of content.

Requirements:

  • First-rate knowledge of a range of sports, with soccer being essential.
  • A keen news sense and objective judgment of editorial decisions.
  • Experience with key editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • A flair for producing engaging video suitable for digital, social, and broadcast consumers.
  • The motivation to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An ability to work with data and tell stories using stats and insights.
  • The ability to work well under tight deadlines in a pressurized environment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Broadcast journalism qualification or relevant experience.
