Role Overview

Are you seeking a position within a vibrant and fast-paced policy and public affairs team focused on education and skills? This role offers the chance to collaborate with various stakeholders to shape meaningful policy initiatives. We are in search of a temporary Policy Manager who will spearhead the formulation of our organizational policy priorities and stances, ensuring that governmental policies reflect our concerns regarding apprenticeships, skills development, and the education landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and partners to implement our policy and public affairs strategy.
  • Lead the development of organizational policy positions and prepare responses to government consultations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to effectively communicate our policy messages.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing policy positions and engaging with government stakeholders, typically gained through 3-5 years in a similar capacity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in stakeholder management across various sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of the education and skills landscape in England.
  • Ability to lead projects and foster collaboration.
