Role Overview

We are seeking a temporary Policy Manager to join our vibrant policy and public affairs team. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders in shaping effective policies that align with our organizational priorities.

As a Policy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for key issues such as apprenticeships, skills development, and educational reforms. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that government policies reflect the concerns and aspirations of EngineeringUK-1.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation of organizational policy positions and produce comprehensive reports and responses to government consultations.
  • Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to communicate our policy messages effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the Public Affairs Advisor and other team members to ensure cohesive advocacy efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze developments in the education and skills landscape to inform our policy strategies.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in policy development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong understanding of the education and skills sector in England, including relevant political dynamics.
  • Proven track record in leading projects and fostering collaborative relationships.
