The CHEP UK network is dedicated to excellence in supply chain management, and we are currently seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to join our Site Leadership Team. This role is pivotal in guiding our journey towards operational excellence.

The Process Improvement Specialist will spearhead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within our facilities. This position will involve crafting a strategic roadmap to enhance our improvement capabilities and foster a culture of excellence in alignment with global supply chain standards. You will mentor teams in various improvement projects and ensure a robust pipeline of initiatives that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the continuous improvement efforts across the site, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful change.
  • Develop and implement 5S methodologies while supporting 5S champions throughout the organization.
  • Conduct training, coaching, and mentoring sessions on continuous improvement techniques and tools.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a continuous improvement role, successfully managing cross-functional teams.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or a comparable qualification is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of direct management experience in supply chain operations, including logistics, manufacturing, or planning.
  • Expertise in applying 5S, LEAN, and Six Sigma methodologies to achieve operational solutions.
  • Experience in executing projects within a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver training across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software, including SAP and Minitab, with a focus on data analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, both quantitative and qualitative.
