Job Title: Maintenance Fabrication Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Fabrication Engineer to join our team at CHEP. As a key member of our Service Centre Severnside, you will play a crucial role in maintaining all manufacturing assets, ensuring efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively work as part of a multi-skilled team to maintain all manufacturing assets.
  • Actively complete root cause analysis, returning the equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Drive efficiency, quality, and reliability improvements through proactive and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Continually seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to the maintenance of equipment.
  • Identify failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis processes, and drive agreed actions.
  • Provide support to site Project and Change Initiatives as appropriate.
  • Ensure all tasks are risk assessed through site-specific or dynamic risk assessments.
  • Report all maintenance tasks on CMMS system as required and to the correct standard.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement projects.
  • Issue work permits and supervise contractors.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mech/Electrical/Multi Skilled Engineering Qualification.
  • Evidence of cross-skilling is required if your qualification is of a mechanical specialism.
  • PAT Testing
  • PLC qualifications
  • Welding
  • Machine Safety (PILZ)
