Role Overview

Given the nature of Evelyn Partners' operations, the primary risks encountered are operational. The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Facilitate the ongoing enhancement and integration of the Risk Management Framework throughout the organization.
  • Oversee the daily execution of the Group's risk management procedures.
  • Engage proactively with the business on risk-related issues.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for risk inquiries from the business.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the organization's operations.
Key Responsibilities

The Risk Team is dedicated to evolving and embedding the Risk Management Framework across the organization, identifying issues through thematic analysis and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the business. Key tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Organizing and conducting risk management workshops with the business to implement the risk management framework.
  • Completing the Key Risk Assessment and Appetite statements.
  • Developing and producing top-down key risk assessments and scenario analyses.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Group's Internal Capital and Risk Assessment (ICARA).
  • Supporting the development of the Group's Key Risk Dashboard and other monthly reports.
  • Guiding the business in completing Risk and Control Self-Assessments.
  • Assisting the business in capturing, assessing, reporting, and escalating risk events.
  • Conducting Deep Dives into specific areas of focus and interest.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services risk management, preferably within an investment or wealth management setting.
  • Confidence to lead and present findings to all organizational levels, including the Board.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with a proven capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in a dynamic setting.
  • A collaborative team player.
Professional Qualifications and Education
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory with sufficient experience.
