Location: Crawley

Mace is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage the estimation of expenses, material quantities, and project timelines for a significant mixed-use construction initiative located in Crawley.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the lead project manager, external client personnel, key stakeholders, and the internal team. You will be entrusted with the comprehensive management of specific responsibilities while on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting cost assessments for repair and maintenance projects.
  • Preparing and evaluating project cost estimates for tenders, including materials, quantities, labor, and time.
  • Executing risk and value management, along with cost oversight during the construction phase.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and formulating responses to commercial risks.
  • Negotiating contracts and work schedules.
  • Overseeing project budgets to ensure optimal value.
  • Analyzing outcomes and generating comprehensive progress reports.
  • Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience with a principal contractor.
  • Strong analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Availability to commence work promptly.
  • Willingness to be on-site in Crawley four days a week.
