Job Summary

The Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a licensed behavioral health provider, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students and their families in a school-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapies to students and their families.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans, as well as complete reports for outside agencies as required.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise student interns or unlicensed staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the necessary standards for licensure.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Connecticut (or license eligible with the ability to obtain full clinical licensure within 3 years of hire).
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience working with outpatients, including experience with children and/or adults.
  • Theoretical Orientation: Consistent with brief, problem-focused therapy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with patients, family members, community agencies, and other providers within the organization.
