We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at the Community Health Center, Inc. in a school-based setting. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality behavioral health services to students and their families, working collaboratively with educators, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to promote student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to students and their families, using evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement behavioral interventions and support plans.
- Consult with parents and guardians to provide education and support on behavioral health topics and to develop strategies for promoting student well-being at home.
- Document all clinical interventions and progress in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to CHC's policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in the State of Connecticut.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with children and families in a school-based or community mental health setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development, behavioral health theories, and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
This is a full-time salaried position that follows a school-based calendar, mirroring the school schedule of 195 days per year. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality behavioral health services to students and their families.
