Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will oversee the maintenance team, ensuring that all machinery is routinely inspected, serviced, and maintained to guarantee uninterrupted and safe operations, thereby minimizing incidents and equipment failures.

  • Lead the maintenance team in executing planned maintenance schedules and managing machine downtime projects.
  • Coordinate maintenance, servicing, and commissioning tasks for the maintenance department personnel.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment to enhance production efficiency.
  • Perform safety inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and housekeeping standards among all staff.
  • Plan and allocate resources, including personnel and materials, to meet daily manufacturing requirements.
  • Regularly report on the status of engineering activities, including machine breakdowns and preventative maintenance efforts.
  • Analyze recurring failures and propose long-term solutions.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for projects requiring engineering input.
  • Engage in hands-on activities to minimize plant downtime.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Apprentice training with a relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with injection moulding machinery and automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic/electrical automation controls.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies such as OEE, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • A self-motivated attitude, a passion for engineering, and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure and tight deadlines.
