Are you an experienced cloud professional eager to influence the future of public sector technology?

Nimbus is looking for a Principal AWS Cloud Architect to spearhead the design, oversight, and enhancement of our clients' cloud infrastructures. You will champion cloud integration, craft innovative solutions, and play a vital role in a significant national infrastructure initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute top-tier cloud services that adhere to DevOps methodologies.
  • Develop and uphold cloud best practices throughout the organization.
  • Steer cloud strategy in accordance with governmental service standards and technology guidelines.
  • Evaluate cloud services and pinpoint areas for ongoing enhancement.
  • Oversee cloud-related risks while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Cultivate a cloud-centric culture and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Center of Excellence to secure necessary accreditations.
  • Facilitate multi-cloud connectivity through effective design and development.
  • Refine and enhance cloud migration methodologies.
  • Engage in design authority activities and produce thorough handover documentation.
  • Adopt a flexible work model with an expectation of on-site collaboration.

Qualifications Required

  • Demonstrated AWS proficiency with AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.
  • Practical experience in a Cloud Architect role.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing frameworks and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Alignment with governmental technology standards.
  • Expertise in version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Service Operations and ITIL principles.
  • Proven history in cloud operations and support.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to juggle multiple projects under tight timelines.
  • Eligibility for UK government SC clearance.
