As part of Assystem's expanding Defence division, we are seeking a proactive and driven Quantity Surveyor.
Role Highlights:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Flexible working arrangements available from local offices.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Industry Focus: Nuclear and Defence
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer contracts for ongoing projects, including tasks as directed by the Commercial Manager.
- Provide commercial insights to project leads.
- Ensure project timelines are adhered to by the team, including management of CEMAR.
- Handle payment applications and general contract communications.
- Submit programme and forecast documents as necessary.
- Manage change requests and early warnings.
- Support bids for new contracts.
- Oversee cost management and reporting.
- Assist in weekly and monthly project progress meetings.
- Coordinate with Client CEMAR Superuser for access and user queries.
- Engage with the Client's commercial team for queries and insights.
Project Interactions:
- Collaborate with Contract Leads, Finance, Cost Engineering, and project control teams as needed.
- Engage with Client Commercial and Project Managers as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience in NEC contract administration, preferably with NEC4 Professional Service Contracts.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred.
- Adept at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- High accuracy and compliance with contracts.
- Prior experience with CEMAR is advantageous.
