Autism Support Specialist

Scottish Autism is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Autism Practitioner in the South West Area Services. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing support to autistic individuals, empowering them to access opportunities that matter to them.
About the Role:As an Autism Practitioner, you will work as part of a team to develop, review, and implement personalized support plans for the supported individual. You will build positive relationships with the supported individual, work in partnership with them and their support network, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the supported individual's life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.
Key Responsibilities:- Enable supported individuals to take part in their chosen activities and access local community opportunities.
- Support individuals to maintain their tenancies and make decisions that matter to them.
- Promote independence and active citizenship, community inclusion, and support with household chores.
We are seeking individuals who are willing to learn and develop into the role, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of autistic individuals. Experience of working within social care is desirable but not essential. We offer an extensive autism-specific training programme to support your development.
