Job Description

Job Title: Class 2 HGV Driver

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Stockport (SK6)

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team at People Solutions Group. As a Class 2 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering bread products to various locations in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
  • Minimum of six months experience driving Class 2 vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
  • Valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Ability to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience of multidrop deliveries

Training:

Driving assessment will need to be completed before starting this role.
