Job Title: Software Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Solutions Architect to join our team at QBE Insurance Group. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing major technology transformation initiatives across various domains, including Cloud, Data, Cyber, Security, Software, and Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design of strategic technology initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain solution architectures for assigned domains, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the debate and thinking on key business stakeholders and technology community.
  • Proactively challenge business requirements and solution architectures to ensure the best possible outcome for QBE.
  • Ensure that Solution Architects have a good understanding of the strategic direction relating to the projects on which they are working.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in large-scale financial data architecture programs, including increasing the maturity of the architecture function.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and good information flows across the business.
  • Ability to identify and quantify key areas of risk or complexity.
  • Basic understanding of the inter-operation of hardware, network, and software components necessary for the delivery of complete, complex systems.
  • Analysis and evaluation skills.
