Job Summary

The Test Operations Support Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of test activities within the payload AIT facility. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and RF test operations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety
    Ensure adherence to test safety measures and procedures, including DC safety and High power RF safety. Collaborate with the operations team to maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure the safe use, storage, and maintenance of test assets.
  2. Disciplines
    Enforce cleanroom rules and monitor team discipline to ensure that test processes are followed. Escalate any deviations or behavioral issues to the operations team leader.
  3. Work Setting
    Manage cleanroom operational processes for all payload test phases. Work with Lead Engineers to agree on daily work contracts and highlight any difficulties based on resources, tools, and means. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support the RF Lead in forward planning.
  4. Reporting
    Conduct standard handovers to the next Test Operations Support Engineer and follow up with a detailed email. Liaise with RF Systems teams to notify them of status and gain approval to move onto the next priority.
  5. Quality
    Ensure all tasks are carried out to the correct level of quality and escalate any issues to operations management. Participate in Practical Problem Solving (PPS) sessions to define root causes and escalate as required.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have electrical and/or RF engineering skills, experience in an electrical test environment, and a strong understanding of automated test systems. They will also possess excellent problem-solving aptitude, clear presentation skills, and good time management skills. Experience in cleanroom environments, team leading, and conflict management is highly desirable.
