Role OverviewAs a Healthcare Risk Assessor, you will collaborate closely with the Healthcare Team Leader on various underwriting tasks, including evaluating new business proposals and managing renewals. Your role will involve addressing broker inquiries and contributing to business development initiatives. You will assess the liability of both traditional and digital healthcare providers comprehensively by underwriting multiple insurance classes while actively participating in broader team projects. This position may require international travel to support business objectives.
- Timely and professionally respond to broker inquiries, generating new and renewal quotes within established service level agreements and underwriting authority;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by nurturing relationships with both new and existing brokers;
- Assist in the development of customized endorsements;
- Regularly maintain and generate underwriting reports related to the portfolio as needed;
- Articulate the features, advantages, and benefits of Healthcare insurance products, including eHealth, while promoting coverage enhancements and supporting product launches;
- Prepare and present internal and external presentations on CFC products, industry trends, and emerging risks;
- Conduct research to develop expertise in Healthcare classes and investigate relevant compliance and regulatory issues in target markets;
- Contribute to team performance metrics, including new business and renewal goals.
We seek motivated self-starters with a strong work ethic eager to enhance their skills. Ideal candidates will possess a solid background in underwriting healthcare or medical malpractice products, with 2-4 years of practical underwriting experience. Familiarity with the North American market is highly advantageous. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment that supports CFC's growth strategy and will be adept at building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. A focus on sales and service, along with confidence in customer interactions, is essential. You should demonstrate analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail while being able to make swift, effective decisions. Given the evolving landscape of digital healthcare, a successful candidate will be technically proficient and committed to staying informed about industry developments.
