Senior Medical Risk Assessor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Risk Assessor to join our Benefit Risk Evaluation Function within the Safety and Surveillance group at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
This is a full-time opportunity, on a permanent basis, requiring a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders.
The core purpose of Benefit Risk Evaluation is to provide robust benefit-risk assessments of potential safety signals using data from various sources and technical, scientific, clinical, and regulatory knowledge.
The successful candidate will take a lead in providing influential, reliable, timely, and appropriate scientific and regulatory advice to companies at meetings and in writing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments of the balance of benefits and risks of medicines in response to new data.
- Initiating, leading, or influencing guidelines, procedures, or policy beneficial for public health.
- Providing scientific and regulatory advice to companies.
Requirements include:
- A degree in Medicine with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Registration to practice with the General Medical Council.
- Experience of working as a senior medical assessor with a high level of performance.
- Experience of contributing to the development of regulatory and Pharmacovigilance policy.
