About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Ignite Recruitment Services. As a Procurement Specialist - Joinery, you will be responsible for planning and managing the purchase of goods, services, and bespoke items for our clients in the joinery industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating specifications, pricing, and deadlines to meet client requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with production teams and colleagues to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks at supplier factories to ensure work meets expected standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records and provide detailed reports on procurement activities, including the Workshop Quote Log and Monthly Project Report.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Previous experience in a joinery-related role is essential, with a strong understanding of production processes and materials.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Apple MacBook, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Location: Must live within a commutable distance of Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
