Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist - Joinery

At Optima UK Inc Ltd, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a dynamic company specializing in bespoke joinery and high-quality production services, we are looking for an individual with a strong background in joinery and procurement to play a crucial role in our procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and executing the purchase of goods, services, and bespoke items
• Reviewing, comparing, and evaluating prices to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Drafting quotations, raising purchase orders, and managing supplier contracts
• Liaising with suppliers, production teams, and colleagues to ensure timely availability of materials and products
• Briefing suppliers and contractors on production work requirements and conducting quality control checks at supplier factories
• Maintaining positive supplier relationships while negotiating specifications, pricing, and deadlines
• Managing the Workshop Quote Log and Monthly Project Report, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Updating and maintaining supplier information and seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in efficiency and performance

About You:
We are looking for a proactive and organized individual with a strong background in joinery and procurement. To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A comprehensive understanding of our products, production methods, and the needs of other departments (metal work, plastic fabrication, joinery, sprayshop, LED)
• A resilient nature, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Apple Mac Book
• A commutable distance from Stevenage, Hertfordshire
• Previous experience in a joinery-focused role is essential
