As a Senior Compliance Manager (Advisory), you will be an integral part of a Group Compliance Function that spans both regulated and unregulated entities within the organization, offering oversight, assurance, and insights into compliance and conduct issues.
Your role will involve providing independent second line of defense compliance and conduct oversight, as well as support and guidance to ensure that regulatory requirements, terminology, methods, and tools are fully comprehended and effectively utilized in the first line.
In this position, we are seeking an individual who will:
- Deliver essential advice and support to the first line, working within the Compliance Advisory framework, to ensure that both current and future company activities are customer-focused and adhere to regulatory obligations.
- Evaluate and escalate conduct and regulatory risks appropriately to achieve optimal customer and operational outcomes.
- Assist the Group Head of Compliance in enhancing and developing the compliance advisory function continuously.
- Manage regulatory change processes to ensure the right customer and operational outcomes are achieved from the outset, with the necessary systems and controls in place.
- Provide expert regulatory and conduct risk opinions on complex regulatory and discretionary change initiatives and programs.
Essential
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory handbooks and associated guidelines relevant to the organization.
- Experience with the Senior Manager and Certification Regime.
- A comprehensive understanding of regulatory permissions and practical authorization processes.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards to internal governance frameworks.
- Prior experience in a senior compliance position.
- A natural curiosity and proactive approach to horizon-scanning.
