About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Worker to join our team at Canterbury Oast Trust. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users during the night.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular checks on service users to ensure their personal safety and welfare
  • Provide assistance to service users with daily living tasks, such as getting ready in the morning
  • Undertake basic household duties during the shift
  • Monitor, administer, record, and store medication as required
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and maintain a consistency of care for all service users
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for our service users
About You

We are looking for an individual who shares our values and is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities. As a Night Support Worker, you will ideally have:

  • A good standard of written and spoken English for effective communication and record-keeping
  • A good standard of numeracy for recording fluid intakes and outputs, counting medication, and measuring weights
  • A good standard of computer skills for updating handover notes, care plans, risk assessments, and recording necessary paperwork for service users
