Assistant Rural Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Rural Surveyor to join our growing Rural and Agricultural Department at Websters Rural. As an APC candidate, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of experienced surveyors and gain diverse experience in rural surveying.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct valuations of rural and agricultural properties to provide professional advice and services to clients.
  • Support the sale and marketing of agricultural land and estates, utilizing expertise in valuation and land use matters.
  • Provide guidance on rural property matters, including valuation, land sales, utilities, grant schemes, and land use.
  • Assist in the management of rural properties and negotiations, ensuring effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Advise on rural planning matters and collaborate with the Planning Department to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Guide landowners on compulsory purchase projects and utility company work, providing expert advice on rural grant applications and emerging Natural Capital Schemes.

Requirements:

  • Actively working towards APC to become a RICS member.
  • Some professional experience in rural surveying or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in surveying.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to various sites.
