Commissioning Engineer

The successful candidates will provide technical support to projects throughout the company and liaise between Customers, Engineering and Project Managers to provide clients with quality products, commissioned to the requirements of the project and specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vehicles and associated equipment have been correctly manufactured and meet quality standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct functional testing of equipment to ensure it meets specifications.
  • Verify that test paperwork is accurately completed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality demonstrations to customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our products.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the planning of all commissioning activities within the manufacturing facilities, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with client representatives during testing phases, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Support the production team as directed by the supervisor, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform pre-delivery quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to drive business growth.
  • Conduct QA checks to ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • This role may involve off-site activities to meet client requirements, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Essential Skills:
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, with a strong understanding of technical principles and concepts.
  • Strong leadership and logistical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a customer-centric approach and ability to appreciate client needs.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as an HNC in electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in reactive maintenance roles, with a proven track record of fault finding and technical expertise.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project, with the ability to utilize these tools effectively.
