Job Summary:

Verto People is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing high-pressure gas and hydrogen systems, performing testing and PLC programming, and conducting client-side Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in various industries across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and service high-pressure gas and hydrogen systems
  • Perform thorough testing, PLC programming, and leak checks on hydrogen systems
  • Provide on-site servicing and repair of customer equipment, ensuring high-pressure gas systems are operational and meet client requirements
  • Identify and provide customers with improvements, upgrades, or general aftercare of high-pressure gas and hydrogen products and services
  • Conduct client-side Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
  • Install various natural gas and hydrogen systems into all forms of the manufacturing industry
  • Deliver training activities for customers on high-pressure equipment use and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Commissioning technical engineering systems with proficiency in electronic control systems, PLC controls, automation software, high-pressure systems, hydrogen applications, pump technologies, hydraulic systems, process systems, or similar within mechanical engineering
  • Experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electronic Technician, Electronic Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Service Technician, or similar with PLC programming knowledge
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, ideally with Siemens TIA Portal or similar
  • Experience working in hazardous areas and familiarity with safety protocols
  • Strong knowledge of high-pressure gas compression systems is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings
  • Competent on various electronic Control Systems such as PLC controls, automation software, or similar related to high-pressure technical engineering systems
  • Willingness to travel extensively (60-70% of the time) within Europe and stay away for extended periods (separation allowance provided)
