Job Overview

  • Competitive Salary: £13.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
  • Flexible working hours: 36 or 48 hours per week - 3 or 4 X 12 hour NIGHT shifts
  • Shift timings from 8pm to 8am, available Monday through Sunday, with a requirement to work alternate weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and collaborate with a team of Care Assistants to ensure exceptional care is consistently provided.
  • Report directly to the Home Manager while coordinating with ancillary teams and fellow Senior Care Assistants.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Contribute to the development of personalized care plans and risk assessments, ensuring ongoing updates and reviews for optimal care delivery.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, holding an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Experience in a nursing or care home setting or as a home care worker.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, particularly the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge of working with individuals experiencing dementia is advantageous.
  • Previous experience with medication administration using an electronic e-MAR system is preferred; full training will be provided.
