Job Summary

This role is part of our UK Finance Team, based in our Portlethen office. The successful candidate will support and work closely with our current Statutory Accountant, preparing management accounts for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Support the preparation and submission of accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with local regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of TAX Returns, VAT, and any other statutory obligations.
  • External Liaison: Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities, as necessary.
  • Internal Controls: Review internal controls and provide recommendations on weaknesses noted.
  • AP/AR Queries: Support and handle AP/AR Queries, liaising with the transactional-based team in India.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform review and analysis of financial statements with business segment owners.

Requirements

  • Accounting Qualification: Recognized Accounting Qualification or actively studying towards Qualification.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Project and People Management: Show and demonstrate good project and people management abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel Skills and Oracle & FMS Systems Experience (desired).
