Job Title: Achievement Tutor
The Manchester College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Achievement Tutor to join our ESOL Department at the Shena Simon Campus. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality tutorial and pastoral programme that ensures the academic, pastoral, social, and behavioural progress of our students.
About the Role
As an Achievement Tutor, you will be responsible for managing allocated students and groups, delivering a highly effective tutorial programme, and tracking student progress. You will work closely with the Head of Department English, maths, and Progress to ensure that students achieve outstanding retention, achievement, progress, and progression outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality tutorial programme that meets the needs of our students.
- Manage allocated students and groups, ensuring that their academic, pastoral, social, and behavioural progress is tracked and supported.
- Work closely with the Head of Department English, maths, and Progress to ensure that students achieve outstanding retention, achievement, progress, and progression outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education and support.
Requirements
- Certificate of education or PGCE.
- Current and valid industry specialism.
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
