Contract Software Engineer for HWIL Facility

Job Summary:

Line Up Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months. As a key member of a small, multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting software items used within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software items to control mathematical models with input/output interfaces in real-time
  • Develop software for performing data analysis and visualization
  • Produce Linux PC-based toolsets to meet the company's specific needs

Requirements:

  • Strong ability and experience in software development, ideally using C, C++, or similar programming languages
  • Experience developing within the Linux environment
  • Real-time experience
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capacity to collaborate with varied engineering teams

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience integrating hardware and software
  • Experience with multi-threaded software products
  • Experience in driver-level software development
  • Experience using Matlab/Simulink
  • Understanding of real-time computing systems
  • Understanding of mathematical modeling concepts
  • Ability to visualize and analyze complex systems
