About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team as an Associate Principal. This is a leadership role that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers
    • Manage and develop the skills of team members
    • Ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines
  • Project Management
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and within budget
    • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and scheduling
    • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any risks or issues
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide technical expertise and support to the team, including design, analysis, and problem-solving
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders
    • Develop and implement business growth strategies, including marketing and sales initiatives
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Chartered Engineer (CEng, PEng, PE or equivalent)
    • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in building systems design and sustainable design
    • Proven track record of leadership and team management, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
    • Strong technical skills, with expertise in mechanical engineering and building systems design
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
