About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work with an individual who requires 1:1 support 24 hours a day. You will be responsible for providing emotional support, encouragement, and assistance with daily living tasks, as well as promoting independence and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to the individual, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and medication management.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, taking into account the individual's needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Support the individual in accessing community resources, such as education, employment, and leisure activities.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving License (essential)
  • Social care experience, ideally within mental health and with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
