Supporting Independence and Empowerment

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate BSL Community Support Worker to join our team at SENSE, THE NATIONAL DEAFBLIND AND RUBELLA ASSOCIATION. As a Communicator Guide, you will play a vital role in supporting two individuals with Usher syndrome and Deafblindness in exploring their community for social and leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals in engaging in their preferred activities and creating fulfilling experiences.
  • Support individuals in making their own choices on how they would like to spend their day.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, help with online or in-store shopping, and participate in social and leisure activities.
Requirements:
  • Commitment of 10 hours per week.
  • Support two individuals in Coseley and Oldbury locations.
