About the Role

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with gynaecological cancers, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Lead and manage clinical teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in research and audit activities, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to departmental teaching programs, ensuring the development of junior staff and students.

Requirements

  • Full registration with the GMC and a license to practice.
  • On the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT from the date of interview.
  • MRCOG qualification.
  • Completed subspecialty training accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology or equivalent training.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher Medical Degree.
  • Experience in managing complex gynaecological oncology cases, including open and minimally invasive approaches.
  • Experience in robotic surgery.
  • Evidence of audit/research and the implementation of change following the audit.
  • Relevant research published in peer-reviewed journals.
