JOB PURPOSE:


We seek dedicated, customer-oriented individuals to join us as Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Specialists.

The primary responsibility of this role is to uphold safety standards, ensure timely preventative maintenance, and enhance equipment availability through ongoing improvements.


Shift Details:
This position requires flexibility to work in non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify health and safety best practices and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Engage in hands-on work, demonstrating expert knowledge of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in the facility.
  • Mentor and guide technicians during shifts.
  • Assist the line manager and supervise the shift in their absence.
  • Ensure high equipment availability for internal customers through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
  • Promote continuous improvement of systems uniformly across the EU network.
  • Foster positive working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and equipment performance metrics.
  • Manage contractor relationships effectively.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed a full Engineering apprenticeship and/or possess a minimum of NVQ level 3.
  • Multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines with at least 5 years of experience in automation or complex MHE settings.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
  • Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
  • Familiarity with OEE and equipment performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior technicians.
  • Proven experience in contractor management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Willingness to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and influence team members.
  • Proven capability to multitask and prioritize various projects and workloads.
  • Experience in managing multiple contractors.
  • Highly self-motivated with a customer-centric approach.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop training plans for service technicians.
  • Familiarity with packaging machinery.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in a multi-site environment.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OEE and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) tools.
