Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Handyperson to join our team at Anchor. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day minor maintenance and repairs, ensuring a high standard of work and contributing to a happy and comfortable environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs, including gardening duties, to a high standard.
  • Differentiating between minor repairs and when more specialist skills are required.
  • Ensuring equipment is used safely, with instructions and health and safety procedures being followed at all times.
  • Working individually and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care or housing environment.
  • Range of practical skills, including maintenance and gardening.
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
  • Health and safety in the workplace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
