Job Title: Chef de Partie

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at a charming pub located in South Cambridgeshire. This role offers the opportunity to operate independently and live on-site, providing an immersive and rewarding work experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes under the guidance of the Head Chef.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the menu, ensuring variety and innovation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Manage and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and management team to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation, maintaining the pub's reputation for excellent cuisine.
  • Adapt to various culinary tasks, demonstrating versatility and skill in different sections of the kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar culinary role.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including stock management, cost control, and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
