Electronics Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our innovative team in Sheffield. As an Electronics Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development lab, working closely with electronics engineers and regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with electronics engineers to support product development and ensure accurate test rigs are built and maintained.
  • Build and configure test equipment and support rigs, using tools like meters, scopes, and soldering equipment.
  • Validate and test printed circuit boards (PCBs), performing critical rework tasks as needed.
  • Support product approval submissions by configuring products for various tests, including EMC testing.
  • Engage in technical authoring and explore opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Experience as an Electronics Technician in a similar role, with strong soldering skills and experience with rework on PCBs.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment, including meters and scopes.
  • Ability to build and configure support equipment and test jigs.
  • Knowledge of EMC testing procedures is advantageous.
