Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Health and Safety Manager to join our team at SNG Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, as well as maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain an Occupational Health and Safety Policy and governance arrangements.
- Develop and maintain a health and safety management system that reflects legal and good practice standards.
- Develop and maintain a process for health and safety inspections and audits to monitor performance.
- Measure and report health and safety performance.
- Identify hazards and complete risk assessments/incident investigations.
- Align health and safety decision-making with business decision-making and risk management.
- Train and educate SNG Group colleagues to enhance health and safety culture in the organisation.
- Oversee facility-based activities, including security, parking, cleaning, building works, etc.
- Supervise cleaning staff and external contractors carrying out building projects, renovations, and maintenance.
- Ensure all facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards.
- Work with Finance to manage insurance for building and contents.
- Manage company vehicles.
- Ensure that facilities/amenities, such as water, heating, air-con, etc., are well-maintained.
- Ensure that all factory and office waste is processed in line with required standards.
- Advise/support office and equipment moves.
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) (or similar) accreditation.
- Diploma/degree (or equivalent) in occupational health and safety or environmental health.
