Position Overview:
Join Boskalis Subsea Services as a Lead Field Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in providing technical guidance and support to various teams involved in project mobilization and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Onshore Duties:

  • Oversee, mentor, and guide all Field Engineers to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the Field Engineer team to support ongoing improvements and initiatives.
  • Act as the primary contact for Field Engineers, offering essential technical assistance.
  • Champion and implement beneficial changes across the fleet to ensure alignment of vessel services and equipment.
  • Identify and promote training needs within the engineering group.
  • Assist in maintaining vessel service documentation and Field Engineer records.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and safety protocols during mobilization planning.
  • Provide engineering support to the operations department, particularly in planning maintenance and dry dock activities.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by management within specified timelines.

Mobilization Leadership:

  • Lead mobilization and demobilization efforts, ensuring activities are conducted safely and efficiently in line with approved plans.
  • Prepare and manage vessel activations and deactivations at the beginning and end of operational seasons.
  • Participate in and support vessel mobilization tasks.
  • Mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality engineering standards are upheld at the worksite.

Project Engineering Role:
During the offshore phase of projects, you will assume the responsibilities of a Senior Project Engineer.

Qualifications:
To excel as a Lead Field Engineer, you should possess:

  • An engineering qualification (HNC or higher) or equivalent practical experience in the Field Engineer domain.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Field Engineering or Project Engineering roles.
  • At least 3 years of offshore experience in a supervisory or senior position.
  • Relevant safety certifications including Opito BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST, and OGUK Medical.
  • Proficient command of English, both written and spoken.
