About the role

We are seeking a skilled Commodities Sales Trader to join our team at Safi. As a key member of our Revenue team, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through our commodity trading platform.

This role combines the skills of a commodities sales trader and a software account manager, requiring a deep understanding of the commodity markets and the ability to develop strong relationships with clients.

Our company is undergoing a significant transformation, shifting from a traditional trading model to a scalable, asset-light managed marketplace. You will play a vital role in this transition, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to drive sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Selling our material offerings/purchasing needs - you will develop a keen understanding of clients' business needs and take them through the specific commodities our customers have liquidity in and how our offering will help.
  2. Nurturing accounts - after an initial transaction, you will be responsible for ensuring our accounts keep transacting and consistently grow the share of their business transacting through Safi.

Requirements

  1. 2+ years experience with trading recyclates, commodities or the recycling industry generally - ideally buying metals.
  2. Willingness to travel across your geography coverage.
