We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Specialist Weight Management Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative psychological interventions to support individuals with complex weight-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and delivery of the expanding psychology group offer within the Specialist Weight Management Service.
- Assess, treat, and formulate cases of the highest complexity, both non-surgical and pre-weight loss surgery.
- Supervise and support the development of band 7 psychologists and other team members.
- Contribute to the development of new weight loss medications pathways and pilot projects to improve weight, health, and wellbeing outcomes.
- Collaborate with dietetic colleagues, assessing and treating complex referrals, and providing pre-operative support and intervention.
- Develop and deliver training and education programs on psychological aspects of weight management.
- Contribute to service development, audit, and evaluation as required.

Person Specification- Qualified Clinical Psychologist with post-qualification experience.
- HCPC registered.
- Experience of assessing and treating complex trauma and severe and enduring mental health conditions.
- Experience of leading groups for people with complex physical or mental health needs.
- Desirable: experience of working in physical health, weight management, or related areas; experience of working with ACT, CFT, or DBT; supervisory experience.
