Sample Reception Technician / Subcontract Technician

SGS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sample Reception Technician / Subcontract Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the subcontracting journey from initial query to testing completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately follow standard operating procedures for sample registration, subcontracting, and transfer between sites.
  • Provide technical support to outsource pricing and testing requirements with subcontracting laboratories.
  • Prepare purchase orders via Oracle and update the PO tracker.
  • Liaise with Sales to ensure updated pricing for subcontractors is communicated.
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure Oracle is updated with price increases on product catalogues.
Requirements:
  • GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Numerate with good written English.
  • Customer Service orientated and committed to providing an outstanding level of service.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience in operations or a closely related role.
