We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services to patients across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in all aspects of analytical work, adhering to the 'Standards of Proficiency' as defined by the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new methodologies and equipment, ensuring seamless integration into our laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve and develop working practices, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with staff of all grades and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of diagnostic services.
- Participate in out-of-hours shifts, weekend, and bank holiday working, as required, to ensure 24/7 coverage of our laboratory services.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Biomedical Scientist.
- IBMS accredited BSC in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
- Experience with a range of laboratory techniques, including those used in Blood Sciences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, maintaining Mandatory Training and required Laboratory competencies.
