The Community Safety Service addresses a wide array of community safety issues, including anti-social behaviour, domestic violence, terrorism, fraud, and recidivism. Our efforts encompass prevention, early intervention, and safeguarding those at the highest risk of severe harm.

About the Role

As the Community Safety Project Coordinator, you will lead a dedicated team to achieve project objectives. You will collaborate with various internal departments, such as Community Safety Analysts and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and housing authorities, to enhance community safety.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our initiatives are informed by data and that all established policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, you will have the chance to identify service gaps and broaden your expertise in service commissioning.

Building and maintaining relationships with external partners is essential for an effective response to anti-social behaviour, and close collaboration with other project teams will be vital.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A commitment to driving meaningful change.
  • Innovative thinking and the ability to explore creative solutions.
  • A willingness to learn from colleagues while confidently sharing your insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills to foster productive relationships with team members and partners.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and utilizing data to guide actions and assess performance.

Experience Required

Applicants should have knowledge or experience in:

  • Addressing anti-social behaviour issues.
  • Understanding relevant legislation, particularly the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
  • Recognizing the impact of anti-social behaviour on victims and communities.
  • Implementing best practices and initiatives in response to anti-social behaviour.

A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are necessary, with accommodations available for candidates with disabilities.

Work Environment

The team operates in a hybrid work model, promoting a healthy work-life balance. The role will involve both remote and office-based work.
