We are a leading aerospace manufacturing company seeking to expand our team with a skilled Purchasing professional. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our organization and contribute to our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms of business.
- Ensure a smooth flow of raw materials to production, managing open order books and supplier performance.
- Manage and analyze supplier KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely demands are met, managing lead times and pricing on our ERP system.
- Develop and implement demand forecasting strategies to suppliers, ensuring compliance with customer quality requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has a solid understanding of stock management principles and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Possesses 3+ years of purchasing experience, with proficiency in Microsoft packages and strong analytical skills.
- Is open to change, with a willingness to continuously improve processes and negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and lead times.
- Can leverage supplier relationships to identify areas of improvement and value, as well as identify cost savings opportunities.
- Desirable: Degree educated and relevant professional accreditation.
