Salary: Up to £37,000 depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Job Purpose: As a Field Garage Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients' garage equipment. You will work independently, traveling to various locations in Scotland to diagnose and repair equipment issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests, service, maintenance, or breakdown fixes on a wide range of garage equipment products, including vehicle lifts, brake testers, MOT bays, gas analysers, and tyre changers.
  • Complete and submit accurate paperwork as required, adhering to quality system compliance and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure control of own van stock to meet first-time fix targets.
  • Continuously develop skills required to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Full knowledge of working with mechanical and electrical garage equipment is essential (hydraulic and pneumatic experience is preferable).
  • Good working knowledge and experience of activities in a field service environment.
  • Able to follow procedures and work instructions, working to specified standards.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Confident and able to work under own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills – dealing with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
