Bridges Electrical Engineers is seeking qualified individuals for the role of ATEX Inspector.

The selected candidates will be tasked with conducting inspections in hazardous areas and supervising necessary remedial actions at various sites associated with the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installations adhering to BS7671 standards and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ensure that all installations meet the highest quality standards and comply with established quality plans.
  • Implement and advocate for the STAR dynamic risk assessment process.
  • Provide mentorship to Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an ECS or JIB Gold card.
  • Certification in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • CompEx EX01-04 certification.
  • Experience in sectors such as water, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EUSR certification.
  • Certifications in PASMA / IPAF / Confined Space.
  • Familiarity with ATEX inspections and DSEAR regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Test and Inspection qualifications.
